  • How can I book?

  • When will you get back to me?

    We will contact you within 48hrs.
  • Is the ticket price on your website final?

    Yes, what you see on our website is the final price.
  • Are there any hidden costs?

    None whatsoever. The tour price listed on our website includes all ticket, reservation and entrance fees. There won’t be any nasty surprises on the day of your tour
  • Do you provide Skip the Line Tickets?

    My Italian Getaway makes reservations and pre-books tickets so you will never have to spend your vacation standing-in-line to see the must-see sights of Italy.
  • What payment methods do you accept?

    All payment must be made by credit card. Our guides cannot accept cash as payment for your tour. We use Paypal as our credit card payment system which is safe and encrypted. You do not need a PayPal account to pay. You simply pay by credit card like you would normally do online. For larger groups you can also pay by making a bank transfer.
  • How can I get details about my booking?

    Following payment, you will be e-mailed a confirmation voucher with comprehensive booking details therein. Payment made will be clarified and clearly explained.
  • Where will the meeting point be for the tour?

    The tour meeting point info plus maps are included in the voucher. Please print your voucher and bring it with you at the start of the tour.
  • Do I really need to print my confirmation letter?

    We strongly encourage you to print your confirmation letter, mostly because it contains meeting point directions, photos and maps to help you get there. It also contains our emergency contact number, should you need it. So long as you have these details to hand however, having your confirmation letter isn’t required to join the group, our guide will have your name anyway.
  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Please refer to our cancellation policy under our Service section.
  • How do I cancel a tour?

    It is important when cancelling a tour you provide your name, tour name and date of the tour you wish to cancel and mostly important to us is your reservation number. Cancellation can be made via e-mail at info@myitaliangetaway.com , your reservation will be cancelled and we will provide a cancellation number for your records. Credit card refunds will be made according to our cancellation policy.
  • Do your tour guides speak good English?

     We insure that our guides are all fluent and articulate English speakers. 
  • How many people are there on a tour?

    The tour could reach different size, it depends on the experience that you booked. Please check the details of the tour. 
  • And if there is bad weather?

     All our tours operate Rain or Shine! 
  • How will I recognise the tour guide?

     Following payment, you will be e-mailed a confirmation voucher with comprehensive booking details therein. 
  • Is there a dress code?

     Yes! When entering religious sites anywhere in Italy you need to cover shoulders, stomachs and knees out of respect. We also suggest comfortable walking shoes.  
  • What happens if I lose the voucher?

     Please contact us as soon as you realize you lost your voucher and a copy will be provided. 
  • Do you arrange tours on different languages other than English?

     All our regular group tours are in English only! We can arrange tours in other languages, but only on a private basis. 
  • How do I amend a reservation?

     Amendments or changes to your reservation have to be sent via e-mail at info@myitaliangetaway.com . Remember to quote your name, name of the tour and date of the tour you wish to modify and your voucher number. 
  • What happens if I lose the voucher?

     Please contact us as soon as you realize you lost your voucher and a copy will be provided. 
  • What kind of information do you need to book one of your tours through your website?

     We require your name, address, the name of lead traveller and participants on the tour. Also a contact phone number while in Italy is highly recommended as well as your hotel’s name and address.
  • Can I book one of your tours over the phone?

     It makes much more sense to reserve via the internet. We cannot take reservations over the phone.
  • What do I need to do if I need to reserve a larger group than the size you advertise on the website?

     In this case you may send us an e-mail at info@myitaliangetaway.com  with the type of service you require , exact number of participants, age and number of children , date or period in which you wish to travel.
  • Can wheelchair users join your group tours?

     Because of the numerous tours we offer it is not possible to specify in any of our tours if it is wheelchair friendly. We recommend you to contact us to check with us which are the most suitable tours for you.
  • Should I tip my guide?

    It’s really up to you. If you enjoyed your tour and feel like you received exemplary service from your guide, it is customary to leave a tip at the end of the tour. It’s not obligatory though and we won’t hold it against you if you don’t – nor will your guide.
